BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy met with President Joe Biden in St. John the Baptist Parish to tour hurricane damage together on Friday, Sep. 3.

Cassidy stressed the need for the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery, the supplemental assistance for needs related to Ida, Laura and Delta.

Friday marks Biden’s first day touring the damage left from Hurricane Ida, but Cassidy toured St. Tammany Parish and Livingston Parish on Thursday with parish officials.
