Mayor Robert Myer announced that the City of New Roads now offers a new and improved website to better introduce Internet visitors to the city’s many tourism features, in addition to its helpful information on city government activities and services.
“We believe our website is easier to use and it better showcases the beauty, culture and attractiveness of our city,” Mayor Robert Myer said. “In this digital age, a ‘first impression’ on the Internet can have a persuasive impact on someone’s willingness to see or learn more about a location,” Myer said. “We believe the more people see and learn about New Roads, the more they will want to visit us, and possibly locate their family or business here.”
Myer noted that the page offers information and a brief history of the city, as well as a list of things to do and information on the city’s progress. At the same time, the website still provides local citizens with complete information on the city’s services, council members and board meetings, and important forms and documents, including a complete copy of the city’s comprehensive master plan.
Utility customers can also still pay their bills online with an easy-to-see tab at the top of the page. The new page can be visited at the city’s same Internet domain – www.newroads.net.
