The Coast Guard was called to the cruise ship, Vision of the Seas on Sunday to medevac a 23-year-old woman suffering from suspected internal bleeding from a prior incident.   
The cruise ship was 100 miles south of Southwest Pass, Louisiana when the Eighth Coast Guard District watchstanders launched a helicopter and Mobile HC-144 Ocean Sentry aircrews to assist in the in the rescue of the woman.
The Coast Guard said the helicopter aircrew arrived on scene at 10 a.m. and took the woman from the cruise ship. 
She was transferred to Jefferson Medical Center in New Orleans and was reported to be in stable condition.
