Confetti confiscated in Mike the Tiger’s Habitat, “could be harmful” to mascot

LSU’s Mike the Tiger

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – It is hard to believe that final exams begin for LSU students in four days.

Commencement ceremonies will follow and with that much celebrating amongst friends and family.

If taking a picture with Mike the Tiger is going to be part of how you celebrate, the only live tiger living on a college campus in the U.S. has a message for you:

We’re having a problem with confetti getting into the habitat. Folks are taking graduation pics and using confetti, but it’s blowing into my yard and my caretakers have to pick it up because if I eat it, it could be harmful. Please take photos without using confetti.

Mike the Tiger will be five-years-old in September.
