A long time face in Baton Rouge law enforcement is calling it quits after nearly two decades of service.

Baton Rouge held a retirement celebration for Constable Reggie Brown on Friday.

Brown took office as the Constable in East Baton Rouge back in 2000.

Back then, his department didn’t even have city vehicles. Through his work and efforts, they’ve grown to be an important part of the city by helping serve warrants and handling evictions.

City leaders say his impact is one that will be felt for a long time.
