RESERVE, La (BRPROUD) – St. John the Baptist Parish Public Health Unit will have COVID-19 tests and vaccines available starting Monday. Jan. 3.

Rapid and PCR testing will be available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3 and Tuesday, Jan. 4. No appointment is needed and the test is free. The Louisiana Department of Health will be administering the test.

From Monday, Jan. 3 through Friday, Jan. 7, the public health unit will be administering vaccines and tests from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins will be accepted. Call (985)-536-2172 to schedule an appointment.

The COVID-19 vaccine options are listed below:

Vaccine options:

  • Pfizer for ages five and older
  • Johnson and Johnson for ages 18 and older
  • Moderna for ages 18 and older
  • Boosters for those who are eligible

The health unit will also be administering the tetanus shot for ages 18 and older and the flu vaccine for babies six months and older. Louisiana Department of Health will administer the shots and vaccines. The vaccines and shots are free.
