COVID-19 vaccines and free skin cancer screening available this week through Ochsner Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – This week, Ochsner Baton Rouge is offering COVID-19 vaccines throughout the area.

The schedule below shows what vaccines are available at various locations along with the times they will be administered:

Tuesday, June 22, 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

  • Ascension Parish Library – Donaldsonville
  • 500 Mississippi St., Donaldsonville

Tuesday, June 22, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

  • Pfizer
  • Ochsner Baton Rouge Vaccine Clinic
  • 1770 Physicians Park Drive

Wednesday, June 23, 9 a.m.- 2 p.m.

  • Pfizer
  • Beacon Light Baptist Church
  • 7513 Prescott Rd., Baton Rouge

Wednesday, June 23, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

  • Johnson & Johnson
  • Ochsner Baton Rouge Vaccine Clinic

As you can see above, Ochsner Baton Rouge is offering a free skin cancer screening to those who get the Pfizer vaccine on Friday, June 25.

While not necessary, appointments can be made for the COVID-19 vaccine here.

Ochsner Baton Rouge provided these details for those who plan to attend one of these events:

  • The Pfizer vaccine is available to anyone age 12 or older, with parental consent for minors
  • The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available to anyone age 18 or older.
  • Photo ID and insurance cards are not required but will speed up the registration process if you bring them.
  • If you are a teacher or healthcare worker, please bring your employee ID.
  • Appointments usually take about 25-45 minutes, including the 15-minute monitoring period following the injection

If you do get the COVID-19 vaccine, don’t forget to sign up for Louisiana’s ‘Shot at a Million’ lottery.
