BASF: "The heat is on as amateur cooking teams battle it out for the title of Crawfish King"

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Do you want to help pick the “Crawfish King?”

If so, there is a crawfish cookoff competition that is happening soon in Baton Rouge.

On Friday, May 7, cooks are gathering at three locations to help raise money for Junior Achievement and the Big Buddy Program.

Starting at 3 p.m., anyone can come to one of these three locations and judge who made the best crawfish:

BLUE CROSS/BLUE SHIELD CAMPUS, OFF BLUEBONNET BLVD

BASF is one the reasons why this cookoff is happening and according to the multinational chemical company, “anyone can buy a ticket and drive through to pick up crawfish from 3-7.”

The “Crawfish King” will be announced at 6:30 p.m.

You can purchase tickets at Crawfish King Cookoff.

$25 will get you 6lbs of boiled crawfish and a 20oz Coca-Cola product.
