BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A 21-year-old man has been arrested after being accused of having over 160 files of child pornography and sexual abuse of an animal on Oct. 23.
According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, Donte Weeks, of Baton Rouge, was charged with 160 counts of pornography involving juveniles and sexual abuse of an animal.
Arrest documents state that an investigation into Weeks began on Sept. 19 when an EBRSO Sergeant with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation received multiple tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The tips informed detectives of 167 files containing child pornography. All of the tips were related to email addresses that Weeks allegedly used.
Detectives later found another tip that was reported in March 2021 that was reportedly connected to those same email addresses.
According to the arrest warrant, on Sept. 19, detectives prepared a subpoena for internet accounts linked to the investigation and search warrants for the email addresses reported.
On Sept. 25, detectives received information that the accounts that were reported were linked to Weeks. Activity folders were included in the warrant and Weeks’ search history was discovered.
After reviewing the folders, detectives found about 110 videos of child pornography, about seven videos of women having sex with dogs, and pictures and videos of girls under the age of 13 dancing and posing inappropriately, police say.
