BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Another suspect is wanted in connection to a nightclub shooting that took place in January.
According to an arrest warrant, a 17-year-old is wanted on 12 counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of illegal use of weapons.
The shooting happened near the Dior Bar and Lounge on Jan. 22. 12 people were reported injured after the shooting. Three other suspects, Nikeal Franklin, 19, Jy’Shaun Jackson, 19, and Shawnchez Lemar, 22, were previously arrested.
According to police, all four suspects entered the club. Franklin and the 17-year-old exited the club and headed to a vehicle. Jackson and Lemar stayed inside the club, making multiple phone calls. Franklin and the 17-year-old headed toward the patio area. At this time, Lemar and Jackson are seen reaching under the fence to allegedly grab the guns. The 17-year-old and Franklin re-entered the club. Surveillance images showed detectives one suspect put on a ski mask before firing shots towards the stage area. The four left the scene in a silver pickup truck.
