BELLE ROSE, La. (BRPROUD) – A recent investigation by the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office into potential sex crimes ended with the arrest of Christopher Draper, 27, of Donaldsonville.
Draper is a convicted sex offender who became a suspect after detectives conducted interviews with witnesses. APSO said, “Detectives determined that Christopher Draper had exposed himself in a lewd and or lascivious manner to at least two victims at his place of employment.”
The place of employment was a production plant in Assumption Parish. APSO said that Draper did not register as a sex offender in the parish. The Donaldsonville man was required to do so after getting the job in Assumption Parish.
Draper was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Thursday, March 16. The Donaldsonville man was charged with two counts of obscenity and one count of failure to register and notify as a sex offender.
Draper’s bond was set at $40,000.
