BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to a reported shooting around 3:15 a.m. in the 4700 block of Earl Gros Avenue.
During the ensuing investigation, BRPD learned that a woman was coming home from work when she exited her vehicle to walk inside an apartment. While doing so, the woman saw a person wearing a ski mask approaching her with a gun, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department. BRPD said the gun was pointed at the woman so “she then pulled out her gun and started shooting.” The woman fell down and injured her hand.
BRPD said the person who was wearing the ski mask fled the scene and they are searching for that individual. EMS confirmed that they were cancelled as no one was shot.
