BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Police say an 18-year-old was fatally shot while trying to break up a fight between an ex-boyfriend and a new boyfriend.
Lenni Douglas, 18, died at the scene in the 4100 block of Prescott Court at 10:28 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department. Investigators said two others were injured in the shooting but are in stable condition.
A BRPD spokesperson clarifies that Douglas was not the ex or current boyfriend of the other two men.
The shooting suspect left the scene before police officers arrived, BRPD said. An investigation is ongoing.
