BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Two people were arrested and one remains at-large after an East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office investigation into drug sales.
Troy Porter, 48 and Taiwo Sangodare, 38 were booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Thursday, Aug. 31. Agents are still searching for Isiah “Slugga” Lucas, 43.
The investigation started after agents received a tip from a confidential informant. Agents looked into “the distribution of large amounts of pressed fentanyl pills being sold as ecstasy,” according to EBRSO.
Controlled purchases were reportedly made, which then helped agents pinpoint two homes on Iroquois Street and Seneca Street where the drugs were being held and distributed, according to the sheriff’s office.
Search warrants were executed on Wednesday, Aug. 30, leading to Porter and Sangodare’s arrests. These items were seized during the search:
- 2.5 ounces of fentanyl (more than 700 lethal doses)
- 3 ounces of powder cocaine
- 1.6 ounces of crack cocaine
- 12 ounces of methamphetamine
- 10 ounces of marijuana
- electric pill press machine (used for fentanyl/meth)
- numerous digital scales with drug residue
- Ruger handgun (5.7)
- Browning handgun (.380)
- Freedom Arms handgun (.22)
Porter was charged with distribution of Schedule II narcotics (pressed fentanyl pills), possession with intent to distribute Schedule II (meth), operation of a clandestine lab (fentanyl), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm with drugs and possession of a firearm by convicted felon.
Sangodare is charged with two counts of distribution of Schedule II narcotics (pressed fentanyl pills), operation of a clandestine lab (fentanyl), possession with intent to distribute Schedule II (meth), operation of a clandestine lab (fentanyl) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A warrant for Lucas lists charges of possession with intent to distribute Schedule II (fentanyl), possession with intent to distribute Schedule II (meth), possession with intent to distribute Schedule II (cocaine), possession with intent to distribute Schedule I (marijuana) and possession of a firearm with drugs.

Bond has not been set for Porter or Sangodare.
