EAST FELICIANA PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — The East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for two suspects accused of stealing and wrecking a vehicle from Baton Rouge.
According to EFPSO, around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday morning, deputies started chasing a vehicle that was driving recklessly. Two men were in the SUV, which was pulling a trailer carrying a four-wheeler. The chase started on Plank Road and ended on Highway 412 in the parish after crashing into a ditch.
According to the sheriff’s office, the suspects fled the crash scene.
EFPSO identified the suspects as Monterro Matthews, 19, and Eric Whitfield, 19.
Matthews is charged with three counts of possession of stolen things, aggravated flight from an officer, and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
Whitfield is charged with three counts of possession of stolen things and flight from an officer.
This is an ongoing investigation.
