Denham Springs Community honors Fallen National Guard

DENHAM SPRINGS, La (LOCAL 33)(FOX 44) - It was an emotional day for Keagan Furlong's family and anyone else who knew him in Denham Springs. The 22-year-old army veteran's life was unexpectedly cut short in Missouri. A family member said doctors believe the cause of Keagan's death was due to natural causes.

He passed away at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

"He was such a sweet [and] caring young man, and he would go out of his way and do anything," said Renell Gunter, Keagan's aunt.

Today the family, along with close friends and comunity members lined up along Range Avenue in Denham Springs to honor and remember the fallen National Guard as his body was escorted to Seale Funeral Home Friday evening.

A memorial service will be held at Seale Funeral Home Sunday, May 19 from 2pm to 5pm.

The family is hoping the autopsy will provide ansers into Keagan's unexpected death.
