BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) and the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation (LWFF) will hold a camping workshop for women on March 12 at the Waddill Wildlife Refuge just outside of Baton Rouge.

The workshop, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will cover camping equipment, how to build a tent, and start a fire with minimal environmental impact.

It’s part of an ongoing series of workshops called “Becoming an Outdoor Woman” that LWFF says are focused “on providing opportunities for women to learn skills that enhance and encourage participation in hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities.”

The cost of the workshop is $35 and equipment will be provided.
