LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — The suspect in a shooting that left one person injured Monday afternoon in Livingston Parish was arrested in a neighboring parish.
Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard said the shooting took place on Monday, Nov. 7 at 1 p.m. on Hwy 40 at Jones Road at an Independence address. He said the shooting victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooting suspect, identified as Darryl Dryer, 24, was arrested in Tangipahoa Parish where he is currently being held on an attempted second-degree murder charge and other charges, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Three adults and one juvenile are wanted on drug possession charges after detectives found illegal drugs during their investigation. The sheriff’s office identified the adults wanted as 19-year-old Caleb Plaisance, 21-year-old Markel Wells, and 18-year-old Tabitha Mason.
