Baton Rouge, LA August 8, 2019: Dr. James Gilmore Jr., Institute for Human Development in partnership with State Representative C. Denise Marcelle (District 61) is excited to announce an opportunity for East Baton Rouge Parish residents to learn and apply for job opportunities, as well as register for job training programs. The Institute and Representative Marcelle are hosting a job fair, offering interested applicants the opportunity to apply and interview with over 15 local businesses and trade schools.
“Many of our East Baton Rouge residents want to work, and need help connecting with employers. Many of our employers are having challenges filling positions with qualified applicants. This job fair is an opportunity to connect employers and applicants in a friendly atmosphere with supportive services.” Said State Rep. C. Denise Marcelle.
The job fair will be held August 10th 9:30am to 2:30pm at the Baton Rouge Community College Automotive Training Center located at 2215-2261 Lobdell Blvd.
Interested applicants should come prepared with resume. If applicants need assistance in developing a resume, there will be on site assistance for resume writing. Companies that have confirmed include: East Baton Rouge Council on Aging, Baton Rouge Community College, BREC, East Baton Rouge Public Housing Authority, East Baton Rouge Metro Airport, Louisiana Civil Service, City of Baton Rouge/East Baton Rouge Parish Human Resources Department, Ray J’s College of Hair, OpenHealth, Rosebud Healthcare, Pilut Healthcare, Boujie Couture Salon, Legette Construction, US CENSUS, Republic Waste Management.
