impaired driving deaths in Louisiana have dropped close to 38% over the last few years, but the the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission says that it’s not good enough.
Law enforcement officers from all over the state gathered Tuesday to announce the annual “Drive Sober or get Pulled Over” campaign.
The two week campaign is timed to coincide with labor day weekend.
Last year there were 341 fatal and injury crashes just over labor day weekend.
Every branch of local law enforcement are taking part and watching the roads.
The campaign will be in effect through September 7th and they will be watching you.
