LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) – Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire on Monday afternoon.
Members of Livingston Parish Fire Protection District #9 arrived at Hwy 16 near the Hwy 22 roundabout around 12:40 p.m.
Firefighters immediately went to work putting out the vehicle fire.
The driver of the van was able to escape before fire engulfed the vehicle.
Firefighters were able to put the fire out quickly and no one was hurt.
The fire started behind the cab and investigators are working to figure out what started the blaze.
The Livingston Parish Fire Protection District #9 confirms the van is a ‘total loss.’
The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office and French Settlement Police Department assisted the Livingston Parish Fire Protection District #9 at the scene.
