Early morning fire on Dayton St. under investigation

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Fire Department responded to Dayton St. early Monday morning.

Firefighters arrived at 3387 Dayton St. around 6:35 a.m. and found “a window sill on fire,” according to the Baton Rouge Fire Department.

The fire was put out in a little over ten minutes with the help of seven total units, four pumpers and one ladder.

An investigator is looking into what started the fire.

BRPD says, “a fire investigator was called to the scene because there were no obvious heat sources near the fire.”

EMS assisted the Baton Rouge Fire Department at the scene.
