BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – East Baton Rouge Parish Library is inviting kids to storytime on Monday.

Kids can come to the Main Library on Monday, Jan. 10 at 6:30 p.m. to listen to the first chapters of two Louisiana Young Readers’ Choice books.

The winners of 2020-21 Louisiana Young Readers’ Choice are: “Saving Fiona: The Story of the World’s Most Famous Baby Hippo” by Thane Maynard for third through fifth graders, “Game Changer” by Tommy Greenwald for sixth through eighth graders and “The Belles” by Dhonielle Clayton for ninth through twelfth graders.

The Louisiana Young Readers’ Choice aims to create a love of reading in the children of Louisiana by motivating them to participate in the recognition of outstanding books which are from well-balanced selections of high-quality fiction, nonfiction and poetry.

The main library is located at 7711 Goodwood Blvd in Baton Rouge, La.
