BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Emergency medical services officials said a man was taken to a local hospital in stable condition after a late-night shooting at a gas station in Baton Rouge.
The shooting happened around 11:45 p.m. Thursday at the Kangaroo Express gas station, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.
BRPD said the man got some coffee and then went outside with two other individuals. At some point, an unknown person came from the side of the building and started to shoot at them, police said. Investigators do not know if the shooting victim was the intended target.
The man was shot in the lower extremities and is expected to survive his injuries, according to the police There is no suspect or motive at this time.
