CENTRAL, La. (BRPROUD) — Central Community School System earns the state’s highest education award.
According to the school system, State Superintendent Dr. Cade Brumley will present Central School System Superintendent Dr. Jason Fountain with the Models of Excellence Award at an award ceremony at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12 at Central High School.
The Models of Excellence Award was made to recognize schools that have implemented the Department of Education’s priorities.
The Central Community School System is being awarded the honor because of its focus on accelerated learning that helps every student stay on track for a professional career, college degree, or service.
All schools in Central dedicate an hour and a half per week to individual focus time based on the student’s needs.
