DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (BRPROUD) — A senior at The Dunham School scored a 36 on the ACT. Samay Mirpuri earned a perfect score on the standardized test. He has been at the Baton Rouge-based school since the tenth grade.

According to The Dunham School, “About one-quarter of 1% of students who take the ACT earn a top score.” In 2022, 3,376 students earned the same score that Samay did on the ACT.

The ACT tests what a student knows about four subjects: English, mathematics, reading, and science.

“Earning a top score on the ACT is a remarkable achievement,” said ACT CEO Janet Godwin. “A student’s exceptional score of 36 will provide any college or university with ample evidence of their readiness for the academic rigors that lie ahead.”

The Dunham School said that Samay’s parents are Sushil and Riana Mirpuri.
