BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – An East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office deputy was injured in a crash on I-10 Saturday afternoon.
According to a Baton Rouge Traffic post on social media, the two left lanes were blocked on I-10 East at the Mall of Louisiana due to an accident around 1 p.m. Saturday. Congestion reached Essen Lane before both lanes opened around 2 p.m.
The City of Baton Rouge traffic page said the accident was an EBRSO unit crash. The sheriff’s office said the officer was injured but would be okay.
Louisiana State Police is investigating the crash. No more information about the collision or the deputy was immediately available.
