BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A fugitive wanted in two parishes barricaded himself in a Baton Rouge apartment Thursday morning.

The U.S. Marshals Service Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force responded to The Reserve at White Oak and entered into a standoff with Delemere Augustine IV, 30. Task force officials said Augustine is wanted in East Baton Rouge and Ascension parishes.

Augustine was taken into custody Thursday afternoon, officials said.

Augustine is wanted by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office for charges of domestic abuse battery/child endangerment and is on parole for armed robbery until 2025. He’s also wanted by the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office for charges of armed robbery, possession of a firearm or carrying a concealed weapon by a person convicted of certain felonies and aggravated assault with a firearm.
