BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Bluebonnet Dental Care staff will provide free services to Baton Rouge residents who don’t have dental insurance as part of their initiative to give back to the community.

Free Dentistry Day will take place from 8-11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22 at 4451 Bluebonnet Blvd. Suite A. Professional cleanings and extractions will be provided to patients on a first-come, first-served basis. Insurance is not required.

Dr. Breah Burkhalter, Dr. Daniel Gonzales, Dr. Jennifer Rome, Dr. Samra Naeem and the team at Bluebonnet Dental Care will be providing the services.

“Free Dentistry Day is one of my favorite days of the year. It’s very gratifying to see the impact that events like Free Dentistry Day can have on a person’s overall physical and mental health. While we’re changing their life, they’re changing ours too, and it’s a day for everyone to smile,” said Rome.

“We understand that many people in our community and across the nation haven’t been to the dentist for a long time. Some don’t understand the importance of dental health or have delayed routine check-ups over the last several years due to the pandemic, but more often than not, they don’t have the financial means,” said Gonzales.

“This event is a great opportunity for us to provide dental care to those who might otherwise go without,” said Rome.
