BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Central Police Department responded to a call about an accident involving a vehicle that had gone into a building on Friday, Oct. 27.
CPD arrived around 11:50 a.m. and found a white SUV inside the Old Paths Natural Market on Hooper Road.
According to Central Police Chief Roger Corcoran, police spoke with the driver who said she accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the break.
Corcoran said that at the time of the crash, there was one employee and one customer inside the building. There were no reported injuries.
The Old Paths Natural Market sustained damage and according to a Facebook post, they “will be closed for a day or two.”
