JACKSON, La. (BRPROUD) — Dixon Correctional Institute will host its Fall Arts & Crafts Show this Saturday.
The show will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 30 at DCI in Jackson, Louisiana.
It’s a family event featuring food, fun, and inmate-made hobby crafts. Some of the items for sale include handmade jewelry, leathercrafts, paintings, purses, belts, rocking chairs and tables.
Corrections leaders said when inmates are allowed to engage in an activity that they enjoy, they can begin to find themselves and their sense of purpose again.
