Baton Rouge, La. (BRPROUD) – The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office is seeking the public’s help identifying a female who was killed in a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.

The coroner’s office arrived at the Our Lady of the Lake Hospital to investigate the death that happened on May 19 in the 3900 block of Plank Road near the Mohican intersection.

Witnesses in the area of the accident said the female was seen in the area but no one could provide her name. Investigative efforts including fingerprint comparison and extensive canvassing still gave no leads to her identity.

According to the EBR coroner, there had been reports of the female dancing or standing in the roadways of the area where the accident took place and could be a possibility that she faced ’emotional challenges’ based on witness observations.

The decedent is an African American female, believed to be between 20-30 years old, she has no gray hair, no tattoos, each ear only pierced once, and no obvious, significant scars on her body.
