BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office seeks help finding the identity of a person found dead in a building on January 19, 2021.

The coroner’s office said he was found dead in the 1500 block of 79th Avenue and all possible leads to find his identity have been ruled out. The LSU FACES Laboratory created a digital image of what the person could’ve looked like.

EBR Coronor’s Office describes the person’s features/items with the following information:

  • Believed to be a Black male in his 30s or 40s
  • Hair: He might not have been bald but no information about his hair length or style is known
  • He had healed injuries on the bones of his nose and right cheek and had injuries on his left chest that was in the process of healing
  • Clothing: Wearing a Southern Jaguars t-shirt underneath a plaid long-sleeved shirt and gray hoodie and dark-colored pants
  • Wore a small metal hoop earring in his left ear, and a blue rubber wristband with no text, a yellow rubber wristband with the words “DREAM BIG I AM A LEADER,” and a black watch on his right wrist
  • Black baseball cap with a red “Camp Ozark” patch found nearby

Anyone with information about the person’s identity is urged to call the coroner’s office at 225-389-3047 and use the reference “John Doe 1/19/2021.”
