An eclectic event is happening at the Ronald Reagan Newsmaker Luncheon on Tuesday, January 8.

East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner Dr. Beau Clark and Istrouma High School principal Reginald Douglas are speaking about their respective jobs.

According to parish Republican chairman Woody Jenkins, EBR Parish Coroner Dr. Beau Clark is discussing “the work of his office during 2018 including autopsies of murder victims.”

Jenkins said along with the EBR Parish Coroner, Istrouma HS principal Reginald Douglas is giving “an update on progress at the school since its reopening last year.”

It was only four years ago that Istrouma High School was in jeopardy of being closed for good.

Jenkins said, “enrollment grew from 450 in May 2018 to 850 in August 2018.”

The Luncheon is happening at 12 p.m. at Café Américain on 7521 Jefferson Hwy.
