BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — East Baton Rouge Parish School System Superindentent Sito Narcisse was named one of three finalists for a new job in Florida.
The Broward County School Board chose finalists in a Tuesday, May 30 meeting. Next, there will be candidate interviews this summer on June 14 and 15, according to the school board’s website.
The board debated adding a fourth candidate for the job. After opening the floor to public comment, a number of people voiced that they are against Narcisse for the position.
Narcisse was named the East Baton Rouge Parish School System’s head in January 2021. He said that he will continue to focus on the parish as he continues through the Florida county school board’s application process.
