EBR Sheriff's looking for man who stole $100 from local Walmart

BATON ROUGE, La. (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) - A man walked out of a local Walmart with someone else's money on May 6.

According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, a female shopper finished her purchase at one of the self-checkout registers and asked for $100.00 back as part of a debit card transaction.

After completing the transaction, the woman left with store without taking the money with her. 

The Sheriff's Office said she returned quickly after realizing she had left the money at the self-checkout register.

According to Sheriff's, "surveillance footage reflects an unknown white male took the money from the register, competed his purchase using his bankcard, and then exited the store."

This all happened at the Walmart located at 3132 College Dr.
