BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — All East Baton Rouge Council on Aging (EBRCOA) senior center locations will be closed Friday, Jan. 21 due to winter weather.
“We ask seniors to get any supplies they may need now. Prepare now so that you can stay home comfortably and refrain from traveling on the roads,” states Chief Executive Officer, Tasha Clark-Amar.
EBRCOA officials said there will be no drive-thru lunch services. Additionally, Meals on Wheels clients received their boxes on Thursday ahead of tomorrow’s weather.
All seniors are urged by EBRCOA to stay home and off the roads. The agency urges seniors to watch the local news for site reopenings and to call 911 for any medical emergencies.
