EBRSO asks public for help identifying armed robbery suspect

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office asks the public for help in identifying a man involved with an armed robbery at a local gas station.

The robbery took place on Monday, June 21 at a Kangaroo Express on Old Hammond Hwy. Deputies said the suspect pointed a handgun at the clerk demanding cash from behind the counter. Authorities said he stole a little over $245 before fleeing in a black Ford Edge.

Authorities said the suspect is a Black male with an average build standing at five-foot-eight and five-foot-eleven.

EBRSO urges anyone with information about this robbery suspect to call detectives at 225-389-5064.
