BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office (EBRSO) detectives are asking for public assistance in locating a man who police say used a victim’s personal information and created a counterfeit identification card.

Police say the suspect set up three cellular accounts with Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile and purchased two Apple iPhone 13s and a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra using the counterfeit ID.

“Video surveillance footage was obtained from Verizon and AT&T showing a heavyset black male wearing black pants, black slide flip flops with a white logo across the top, white socks, and a black Nike Air hoodie with the logo in white on the front double hand pouch,” an official EBRSO Facebook post says.
