Police identify 2 men, a mother and her young son killed in deadly crash

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRProud) – Authorities identified the four people who were killed in a deadly crash on Wednesday night.

According to Baton Rouge Police, 56-year-old Patrick Dunn, 22-year-old Destiny Nelson and her young son Jamarcus Brown were killed in this crash.

The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Progress Rd.

BRPD said, a 1999 Oldsmobile driven by 28-year-old Jamarcus Brown Sr. was heading west at a rapid pace.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, Brown lost control and the vehicle hit a tree and a fence before hitting a house, where Dunn was sitting on the porch.

East Baton Rouge Coroner William “Beau” Clark confirmed that Brown died as a result of his injuries on Thursday morning.

The investigation into this crash remains open.
