Downtown Baton Rouge may have a nostalgic, outta sight vibe this weekend as The Emerge Center hosts, Emerge A-Go-Go, its signature fundraiser Saturday night at The Manship Theatre.
The annual event carries a new theme in 2019, with a tribute to 1960’s mod, rock-n-roll.
Melissa Juneau, CEO of The Emerge Center, said portions of The Shaw Center will be transformed into three 60’s themed clubs. There will also be VIP access, with a featured performance of Beatles vs. Stones: A Musical Showdown.
“Since the inception of our gala five years ago, critical funds have been raised for the center to allow us to provide access to our services,” Juneau said. “This year is no exception. Attending Emerge A-Go-Go is a fantastic way to come and support the work we do at Emerge while having a groovy, fun time.”
Tickets and full event details can be found online at www.emergela.org/gala.
