BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Baton Rouge General Employee Care Centers at Bluebonnet and Mid City have opened to receive donations for caregivers and healthcare workers in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida.

Both centers will be open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Sept. 3.

“Our caregivers have been through the most challenging year of their lives with the COVID pandemic,” said Erik Showalter, president of the BRG Foundation. “They have put their jobs first, selflessly caring for their patients throughout four difficult surges in our community. Now, many of them are facing an added layer of stress with the storm. The least we can do is pitch in and support them while they have given so much over the last year.”

  • Bluebonnet – 9001 Summa Avenue (lobby)
  • Mid City – 3401 North Boulevard (Entrance 4)
