The United States Department of Justice could announce a decision in the Alton Sterling shooting investigation Tuesday.

Sterling was shot and killed this past July during an altercation with Baton Rouge Police officers. That incident sparked mass protests across the city– drawing international attention.

The new “CD man” Travis Hicks took his friend Alton Sterling spot where he used to sell CD’s.

“I’m his best friend so he would want me to be out here,”said Hicks.

Many people may be out at Triple S Food Mart, on Tuesday Hicks said,”They going to protest no matter what the situation might be.”

“What I heard, it’s going to be a Mississippi burning,” said Joseph Lawrence with the New Black Panther Party said they are here for a reason.

“We will be here to support the family at the Triple S and wherever the family want us to be we will be there,” said Lawrence.

Lawrence said 300 to 400 members will be coming.

“They need to go back out of town,” said Terrance Carter, Alton Sterling’s nephew.

Carter asks you to think before you act.

“Whatever they decide, I want them to take it in, we can hit the streets do this the right way and not the wrong way,” said Carter.
