HOLDEN, La. (BRPROUD) – A fifth arrest has been made in connection to the armed robbery of an 87-year-old man in Holden.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Neal Chollette, 51, for criminal conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

49-year-old John Bailey and 39-year-old Rauman Laurent were arrested after LPSO received a tip from Crime Stoppers. 43-year-old Samuel Peavy and 35-year-old Pauline McCarthy were arrested shortly after.

In January, deputies responded to the 33000 stretches of Hwy 441 at around 8 p.m. and found the victim had been allegedly attacked by an unidentified suspect outside of his home.

Chollette is the fifth person to be arrested in connection to this robbery. He was previously booked for unrelated charges.
