ST. JAMES PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) – A Florida man was arrested by the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office (SJPSO) after the sheriff’s office learned he had sexually assaulted a minor.

SJPSO detectives were given information about a St. James Parish juvenile by out-of-state law enforcement last year, according to the 23rd Judicial District Attorney of Louisiana. The detectives learned that the young victim had been sexually assaulted by 56-year-old Randy Nicholas for several years. A warrant was granted for his arrest and he was booked into the St. James Parish Jail.

Nicholas was charged with aggravated crimes against nature, first-degree rape, and oral sexual battery. On Wednesday, a St. James Parish grand jury indicted Nicholas.
