BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A former LSU quarterback’s organization invites restaurants from Baton Rouge, Athens, and Cincinnati to a fundraising project to complete the foundation’s mission.
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s foundation, the Joe Burrow Foundation, is inviting restaurants to help families overcome food insecurity.
This invitation is part of Burrow’s Dine for 9 project. It allows restaurants to donate nine percent of their profits to the foundation on Sept. 9.
Burrow wants to “do good” with his money. The foundation’s mission is to provide resources and support to the underprivileged and underserved. According to the site, the primary focus is to help children with mental illness and those experiencing food insecurities.
The foundation suggests restaurants register by Friday, Aug. 25. Click here to register.
