BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)- The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office received a complaint about heroin distribution from Ahmad Goodman and conducted an investigation that led to the obtaining of two search warrants related to Goodman’s drug trafficking operation.

On June 29 EBRSO Narcotics, with assistance from EBRSO K-9, executed both search warrants.

EBRSO seized:

  • 2.2 ounces of heroin (valued at $4,000)
  • 11.1 grams if methamphetamine
  • 11 dosage units of pressed fentanyl
  • 5 dosage units of suboxone
  • 3.5 grams of marijuana
  • Taurus 9mm handgun
  • multiple digital scales
  • $4,000 in cash

Goodman was found to have an active warrant through Probation and Parole for a previous manslaughter conviction.

EBRSO arrested Ahmad Goodman on charges of PWITD Schedule 1 Narcotics (heroin), Possession of Drug Marijuana, Possession of Schedule V Narcotics (Suboxone), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Illegal Possession of a Firearm with CDS, Illegal Carrying of a Firearm by a convicted Felon.

Officials also arrested Natalie Altamirano, Katelyn Ballard, and Madelyn Payne.

Natalie Altamirano was arrested on charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Schedule V Narcotics (suboxone), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Illegal Possession of a Firearm with CDS.

Katelyn Ballard was arrested on charges of Schedule 1 Narcotics (heroin), PWITD Schedule 2 Narcotics (methamphetamine), PWITD Schedule 2 Narcotics (fentanyl), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Madelyn Payne was arrested on charges of Schedule 1 Narcotics (heroin), two counts Distribution of Schedule 1 Narcotics (heroin)(Affidavit warrant), Possession of Schedule V Narcotics (suboxone), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
