Four people including three children escape unharmed from house fire on Cadillac St.

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Members of the Baton Rouge Fire Department were called to 4705 Cadillac St. prior to lunchtime on Monday.

Firefighters arrived on scene a little after 11:10 a.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters found “that three children and one adult had made it out of the home safely.”

Firefighters located a fire in a rear storage room.

Those same firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in 15 minutes with the help of seven total units, four pumpers and one ladder.

BRFD says, “the fire was contained to that area.”

The home sustained $16,000 in damages.

According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, “the rest of the home sustained light smoke and water damage.”

Fire investigators are still working to figure out what caused this fire.

EMS, BRPD and the Red Cross assisted the Baton Rouge Fire Department at the scene.
