GONZALES, La. (BRPROUD) – The City of Gonzales Police Department is looking for four suspects accused of robbing unlocked vehicles.

According to the police, multiple unlocked vehicles were robbed on the morning of April 21. Through an investigation, the police obtained surveillance videos from residents and learned that four males were driving through neighborhoods and pulling on door handles.

When the suspects found any unlocked vehicles, they would allegedly look for any cash or guns that were left inside. The police say that the suspects are also connected to other car burglaries in the parish, including allegedly breaking into an off-duty officer’s vehicle and stealing an issued weapon. The suspects have allegedly stolen two other weapons from unlocked vehicles.

Footage shows the suspects riding in an unidentified white Chevrolet Tahoe.

The Gonzales Police Department is working with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office on multiple leads, and welcomes any information submitted to Greater Crime Stoppers of Baton Rouge.
