Free food and supply giveaway taking place in Zachary this weekend

ZACHARY, La. (BRPROUD) – On Saturday, September 4, anyone still suffering from the aftermath of Hurricane Ida can stop by the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

A free food and supply giveaway is starting at 10 a.m. and will continue until supplies run out.

Anyone who stops by can expect to get free food and water.

This food and supply giveaway was made possible with the help of these local leaders and organizations:

  • Metro Councilman Brandon Noel, District 1
  • Chaneyville Community Center
  • Chaneyville Fire Department
  • Baton Rouge Food Bank
  • Mayor President Sharon Weston Broome’s Office
  • Pastor Terry Jones

Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church is located at 22911 Reames Rd.
